Why Is It that God did not Destroy Lucifer, the Devil, and His Angels Immediately?

Lucifer is a covering Cherub and was highly honored by the angel's of heaven.

Eze 28:14  Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Eze 28:15  Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

The Devil planted lies in the hearts of the angels that ultimately led to the fall of one third of the angels.

Rev 12:3  And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

Who is this dragon?

Revelation 12:9  "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

The dragon being described in is no other than Satan himself.

How many angels followed Satan?

Revelation 12:4  "And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born."

One third of the angel's followed Satan.

What did Satan use to deceive the angels?

Isaiah 9:15  "The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail."

Satan used lies to deceive the angels.

God wants the angels to obey Him out of love, not out of fear. Destroying Lucifer then and there would strike fear among the angels.

John 14:15  "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

The Devil will finally be destroyed by fire once all the purposes of God are fulfilled.

Ezekiel 28:18  "Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee."

Ezekiel 28:19  "All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more."
